Salary: $65000 $85000 (depending on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nursing leader to join our team as the Director of Womens Services in Mayfield KY. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of womens health services including labor and delivery postpartum care and neonatal care. This position requires a dynamic leader who is committed to clinical excellence and dedicated to advancing womens health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Womens Services department ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Oversee clinical and administrative staff promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Develop implement and evaluate departmental policies procedures and goals in line with best practices and organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accreditation standards for womens health services.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and manage the departments budget resources and staffing needs.
- Foster strong relationships with physicians nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Promote continuous quality improvement initiatives and support evidencebased practices within the department.
- Provide education and mentorship to staff ensuring ongoing professional development and certification compliance.
MustHaves:
- Nurse License for Kentucky: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- AWHONN Certification Required: Certification from the Association of Womens Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is mandatory.
- Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program. A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in womens health labor and delivery or a related area.
- At least 23 years of leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting with proven skills in team management and department oversight.
- Strong knowledge of womens health issues neonatal care and current trends in obstetric and gynecological services.
- Excellent communication leadership and decisionmaking skills.
- Ability to effectively manage resources budgets and personnel in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Director or Manager of Womens Services.
- Advanced certifications in womens health such as CEFM (Certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring) or NCC (National Certification Corporation) credentials.
