Construction equipment technician

Job Description: We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Construction Equipment Technician to maintain repair and inspect our fleet of heavy construction machinery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and safely contributing to the success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on construction equipment such as changing fluids filters and lubricating parts.
  
• Diagnose mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues using specialized diagnostic tools and techniques.
  
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure equipment complies with safety regulations and operational standards.
  
• Repair or replace faulty parts including engines transmissions and hydraulic systems.
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  
• Respond to emergency repair requests and perform repairs onsite as needed.
  
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and supervisors to address complex issues and enhance equipment performance.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree in diesel mechanics automotive technology or a related field preferred.
  
• Experience: Proven experience as a construction equipment technician or in a similar role.
