Job Description
Action Staffing Solutions is seeking Pharmacists for one of our Government clients. The position involves providing onsite services from Monday to Friday except for recognized US holidays or facility closures due to emergencies administrative closings or Governmentdirected facility/installation closings.
There are two shifts available:
1st shift: 6:30AM through 3:00PM
2nd shift: 3:30PM through 12:00 AM
The duties for this position include:
This is a fulltime contractor position based on a contract.
Pay: $76.15 to $86.13 per hour depending on experience.

The duties for this position include:
- Provide pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders of legend OTC Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) and Controlled Substances to patients requiring care.
- Assessment of drug order and cross match with medication presented at checking stations.
- Preverification of medications loaded into mechanical apparatus to dispense medications in prescription bottles.
- Verification and fill of controlled substance orders schedules III IV and V.
- Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervision of contracted Pharmacy Technicians.
- Follow policies regarding documentation and reports to meet facility and commission policy.
- Provide full checking labeling and quality assurance within the written policies and procedures.
- Dispense medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines for controlled substances.
- Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste
- Pharmacists must be a graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
- Be licensed in a State Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. License must be current valid and unencumbered.
- Must be licensed for controlled substances.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff.
- Basic typing skills PC computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
- Fluency in English (reading understanding speaking and writing).
- Understanding of necessary precautions when handling hazardous medications materials and hazardous waste.
- Ability to pass a preassignment background check and drug screening.
