Job Title: Pharmacy Director

Salary: $150000 $201000 (depending on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacy Director to lead our pharmacy services in Lewiston ID. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the pharmacy department ensuring the safe effective and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services. This role requires a leader with extensive hospital pharmacy experience strong management skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department ensuring compliance with all applicable laws regulations and standards of practice.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures that align with hospital goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of pharmacists pharmacy technicians and support staff providing guidance training and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of medications including the management of inventory procurement and storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to develop and maintain effective medication management processes including formulary management and clinical protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of pharmacy services implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Manage the departments budget including cost control revenue generation and resource allocation.
- Participate in hospital committees and contribute to the overall strategic planning and decisionmaking process.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practice including licensing recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
MustHaves:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Idaho.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience with at least three (3) years in a directorlevel or similar leadership role.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations including medication safety regulatory compliance and clinical pharmacy services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications in pharmacy practice or administration (e.g. Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Masters Degree in Pharmacy Administration).
- Experience with budget management and financial analysis in a healthcare setting.
