This will be a fulltime direct placement position. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage the nursing department in a healthcare facility located in Highland IN. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership oversee nursing operations ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and foster an environment of excellence in patient care.
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the nursing department.
Develop and implement policies procedures and standards of nursing care.
Lead mentor and evaluate nursing staff to ensure high levels of performance and professional growth.
Collaborate with other department heads and senior leadership to align nursing goals with organizational objectives.
Monitor patient care plans and ensure quality care delivery.
Stay updated on the latest evidencebased practices and integrate them into clinical operations.
Address and resolve patient care issues promptly.
Supervise and ensure proper training for nursing staff on equipment procedures and healthcare protocols.
Ensure compliance with federal state and local healthcare regulations.
Lead accreditation processes and maintain standards set by healthcare regulatory bodies.
Monitor and improve quality metrics including patient satisfaction safety and outcomes.
Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Manage the nursing departments budget including staffing supplies and equipment procurement.
Optimize resource allocation to ensure costeffective operations without compromising patient care.
Recruit hire and retain skilled nursing staff.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff competencies.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong leadership decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
Proficiency in using healthcare management software.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
