Director Of Pharmacy

Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Elko Nevada in search of a Director of Pharmacy.

Job Summary:

Our client a 75bed acute care hospital is seeking a fulltime Director of Pharmacy to lead their pharmacy department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals in delivering compassionate highquality patient care while creating an excellent workplace for employees.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement departmental goals plans and standards consistent with clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements
• Direct and evaluate departmental operations including patient care delivery and information technologies
• Plan and monitor staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating and disciplinary actions
• Prepare monitor and evaluate departmental budgets
• Coordinate and direct internal/external audits
• Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth
• Integrate evidencebased practices into operations and clinical protocols
• Act as the Managing Pharmacist responsible for compliance with state and federal laws (after obtaining NV licensure)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Pharmacy required
• Doctorate in Pharmacy (preferred)
• At least three years of acute care/hospital pharmacy leadership experience
• NV Pharmacist license within 3 months of hire
• Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) with the State of NV within 3 months of hire
• FEMA IS100.C and IS200.C certifications within 3 months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Strong leadership skills in decision making problem solving and communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with department directors physicians staff visitors and vendors
• Ability to assess complex situations and determine effective resolutions
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision
