Job Description
Our client is a distributor of twowheeler and threewheeler products. They have branches across Nigeria. They provide the most popular range of motorcycles tricycles genuine spares tires lubricants and unfaltering after sales service. Due to expansion they are currently in need of a LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE.
LOCATION: Lagos
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and oversee the endtoend supply chain process from procurement to delivery.
- Collaborate with suppliers manufacturers and distributors to ensure a smooth flow of materials
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for automotive parts and materials.
- Implement efficient inventory control practices to minimize excess stock and stockouts.
- Plan and organize the distribution of automotive products to dealerships service centers and other destinations.
- Optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Arrange and coordinate transportation services for the shipment of vehicles parts and materials.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and manage relationships with logistics providers
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments inventory levels and transportation activities.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is complete and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of automotive products during transportation.
- Address and resolve issues related to damaged or defective goods.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 23 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management preferably in the automotive industry.
- Ability to use Excel and Microsoft word is very essential
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to optimize logistics processes.
- Ability to analyze data and make datadriven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams suppliers and logistics providers.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and documentation.
- Flexibility to handle unforeseen logistical challenges.
- Proactive problemsolving approach to address logistics challenges and optimize processes
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors) - Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. Procurify or SpendMap) Understanding of supply chain procedures Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
