Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specializes in relocating qualified professionals throughout Ireland and overseas we guide you through professional registration job placement visa and employment permit processing. We are Hiring a Director of Nursing to lead a Nursing care home in Wexford Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee every aspect of the program to guarantee consistently excellent resident care.
- To serve as an oncall resource for the home offering assistance counsel and direction.
- Along with CNMs and deputy home manager(s) plan and oversee the oncall schedule.
- To set an exemplary example and serve as a role model for staff encouraging a personcentered approach that is the cornerstone of the philosophy and values upheld in the nursing home.
- Participate in the hiring choosing orienting managing and overseeing of all new employees.
- To oversee and assist all department heads as well as the personnel in charge of nursing housekeeping maintenance and catering.
Requirements
- A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- A post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
- Not less than 3 years experience of nursing older persons within the previous 6 years.
- Not less than 3 years experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area
- The ability to communicate effectively with residents family members team members management and external bodies e.g. HIQA HSE GPs etc.
- Post registration qualification in dementia care and gerontology highly desirable.
