Our client is a leading communications provider in Ireland offering awardwinning services like broadband business WiFi and home phone connections. About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a maternity cover contract to provide strategic and operational HR support. This role will partner closely with key stakeholders across the business understanding their needs and offering effective people interventions that align with the overall business strategy. A strong focus will be placed on managing complex employee relations with specific experience in handling union negotiations the Work Relations Commission redundancies and company reorganisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Lead and manage employee relations issues particularly those related to union involvement and disputes ensuring compliance with best practices and legal standards.
  • Union and WRC Experience: Act as the main point of contact for union negotiations liaising with the Work Relations Commission on disputes and advising on compliance with Irish employment laws.
  • Redundancies and Reorganisations: Provide expert guidance on handling redundancies and organisational changes ensuring all processes are managed smoothly fairly and in line with legal requirements.
  • Talent Management: Drive consistency in attracting managing developing and retaining talent to meet the organisations current and future needs.
  • Organisational Design: Partner with business leaders to create sustainable organisational structures and systems that align with business strategies.
  • Change Management: Support and lead transformational change initiatives ensuring peoplerelated changes are delivered consistently with the companys values and cultural principles.
  • Coaching: Mentor and develop managers to improve their leadership capabilities supporting them to anticipate and address organisational challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leaders to ensure HR strategies align with the broader business objectives while managing key relationships at all levels.
  • Project Involvement: Lead and participate in various HR projects championing the companys goal of being an employer of choice.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • CIPD Qualified with substantial business experience in a proactive HR environment.
  • Union and WRC Expertise: Proven experience working with unions and managing disputes through the Work Relations Commission.
  • Redundancies and Company Reorganisations: Strong background in managing largescale redundancies and structural reorganisations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills especially with senior leaders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of people policies procedures and employment law in Ireland.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role within a commercial environment.
  • Ability to balance both strategic and operational HR functions with a focus on commercial outcomes.
  • Experience with Workday or similar HR systems is preferred.
