About YDRC
YDRC s mission is to improve the quality of Detroitarea youthserving organizations to maximize their impact on youth and to advocate for accessible highquality youth development opportunities. The vision of YDRC is to connect all Detroitarea youth to highquality youth development opportunities that grow their capacities to thrive in school and life.

YDRC supports 100s of Detroit youth development providers with a holistic approach to quality networking advocacy and adult learning to expand youth provider skills and capabilities. The programs of YDRC strengthen the individual and collective impact on youth by giving the youth providers the tools they need to increase program quality and produce measurable results.

Many YDRC programs are free and include:
  • Shared Data Measurement
  • Professional Development
  • Learning Communities (Acting with Data and Equity Accelerator for Youth Development)
  • Networking Events

Each program is designed to help grow and increase the positive outcomes of the Detroit area programs and the youth they serve.

Requirements

Qualifications

The ED will thoroughly commit to the Youth Development Resource Center s mission. All candidates should have proven leadership youth development coaching data analysis research and relationship management experience.

Specific requirements include:
  • At least five years of nonprofit management experience preferably in a senior level role; track record of effectively leading systemic efforts to scale highquality performance and outcomes in youth development organizations; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth

  • Unwavering commitment to equity centering historically marginalized communities highquality programs and continuous quality improvement

  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to create a culture of belonging and wellness coach staff manage and develop highperformance teams set and achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget

  • Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member/steering committee relationships

  • Strong marketing public relations and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills

  • An actionoriented entrepreneurial adaptable and innovative approach to organizational planning

  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people

  • Passion idealism integrity positive attitude missiondriven and selfdirected
