Technical Artist
Role:
A Technical Artist is a creative professional who works at the intersection of art and technology. They bridge the gap between artists and programmers and are responsible for creating tools and pipelines that enable artists to create highquality content efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain art production pipelines including tools for modeling texturing animation and rendering
- Collaborate with artists and programmers to identify and solve technical problems in the production process
- Optimize art assets for performance and memory usage
- Ensure that art assets meet technical requirements such as resolution and file format
- Create documentation and to help artists use production tools effectively
- Stay up to date with the latest tools and techniques in the field of technical art
- Help to establish best practices for the art production pipeline
- Act as a bridge between art and programming departments
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science art or related field
- 3 years of work experience
- Strong understanding of 3D/2D graphics and game development pipelines
- Experience in C# and shaders
- Experience with game engines such as Unity
- Familiarity with industrystandard art tools such any 3D software and Photoshop
- Strong problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
