DevOps Engineer - Montreal

Job Description:

One of our clients is seeking an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the deployment automation and maintenance of our development and production environments. You will work closely with development operations and QA teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate code deployment and testing.
  
• Manage and monitor cloudbased infrastructure (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) to ensure high availability and scalability.
  
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform Ansible or Chef.
  
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  
• Monitor system performance identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations to improve reliability and efficiency.
  
• Ensure security and compliance of infrastructure and applications through regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
  
• Develop and maintain documentation for deployment processes system configurations and operational procedures.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  
• Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools technologies and best practices to continuously improve our processes.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  
• Over 5 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and related services.
  
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI or CircleCI.
  
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform Ansible or Chef.
  
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  
• Understanding of networking security and monitoring best practices.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
