Primary job duties/responsibilities:
We are looking for a detailoriented IT Support Specialist with a focus on laptop refresh projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for imaging new laptops scheduling and communicating refresh plans with endusers updating the CMDB supporting data transfer and disposing of assets according to company policies. The candidate should be efficient able to refresh 1015 laptops per day and ensure a smooth transition for endusers.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for imaging new laptops scheduling and communicating refresh plans with endusers updating the CMDB supporting data transfer and disposing of assets according to company policies. The candidate should be efficient able to refresh 1015 laptops per day and ensure a smooth transition for endusers.
Key Responsibilities:
Image New Laptops (Windows & MAC):
- Prepare and image new laptops using standardized imaging processes.
- Ensure all necessary software and configurations are correctly installed and functioning.
- Perform quality assurance checks to confirm that the laptops meet company standards before deployment.
Schedule & Communicate Refresh Schedule with End Users:
- Coordinate with endusers to schedule laptop refresh appointments.
- Communicate the refresh process timeline and expectations clearly to endusers.
- Address any concerns or questions from endusers promptly and professionally.
Update CMDB (Configuration Management Database):
- Accurately update the CMDB with new hardware information.
- Ensure that all asset details including serial numbers and user assignments are current and correct.
- Maintain detailed records of all changes for auditing and tracking purposes.
Replace Laptops and Support Data Transfer:
- Assist endusers with backing up and transferring data from old laptops to new ones.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality during the transfer process.
- Provide postrefresh support to resolve any issues related to the new laptops.
Dispose of CompanyOwned Assets:
- Follow established procedures for the disposal of old laptops and other IT assets.
- Ensure that all data is securely wiped from devices before disposal.
- Manage asset disposal in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
Efficiency in Laptop Refresh:
- Maintain a high level of efficiency refreshing 1015 laptops per day.
- Continuously look for ways to streamline the refresh process and improve efficiency.
- Ensure minimal downtime and disruption for endusers during the refresh process.
