Job Description

Themis Recruit are seeking a NQ 1 PQE Solicitor to join their clients Doncaster office. The role will primarily involve assisting the senior associate on a caseload of high value traumatic brain injuries. The case types will vary from road traffic accidents to employers and public liability.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in catastrophic injury claims and must show a desire to help vulnerable clients who have gone through traumatic accidents. The role involves managing cases from inception to resolution ensuring clients receive the highest standard of legal service.

    • Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess the nature and extent of brain and spinal injuries.
    • Provide clear and concise legal advice regarding potential claims and compensation.
  1. Case Management:

    • Manage a caseload of brain and spinal injury cases ensuring all aspects are handled efficiently.
    • Conduct legal research prepare legal documents and develop case strategies.
  2. Investigation:

    • Gather and analyse evidence related to the injury including medical records accident reports and witness statements.
    • Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals to build a strong case.
  3. Negotiation and Settlement:

    • Engage in negotiations with opposing parties and insurance companies to reach fair settlements.
    • Draft settlement agreements and ensure clients interests are protected.
  4. Litigation:

    • Prepare and file legal documents for court proceedings.
    • Represent clients in court hearings mediations and arbitrations.
  5. Client Communication:

    • Maintain regular communication with clients providing updates on case progress and addressing any concerns.
    • Educate clients on legal processes and potential outcomes.
  6. Legal Compliance:

    • Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards.
  7. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm and external experts to strengthen cases.


Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or equivalent
  • NQ 1PQE
  • Ideally come from a catastrophic injury background.
