We are looking for kind and caring personal assistants to join our clients care team. The hours available are 8am to 4pm every day and you should be flexible and willing to work across all days on a rolling rota working alternate weekends.
Our client is a young man in his 20s with a brain injury and complex care needs. Our client needs structure routine and support with everyday tasks to enable him to access the community and social activities.
The ideal support worker for this package will have a calm patient and kind nature. You should be an excellent communicator with good verbal skills as our client does not have verbal speech and instead communicates through facial expressions Eye Gaze communication device and body language. You will need to be a driver with a full UK driving licence and will be expected to drive our clients adapted vehicle to appointments and accompany him to participate in leisure activities.
Complex care and personal care is required in this role and it is essential that you have experience of these.

- Oral Suction
- Moving & Handling with Hoist
- Medication Care Needs via PEG
- Gastrostomy
- Epilepsy / Learning Disability / Mental Health Awareness
You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are already known to the client and have care experience this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere previous care experience is not essential.
Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:
- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- Driver with a full UK driving licence
- Complex care experience
- Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a personcentred way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the clients needs
