DevOps Engineer Software Engineer I

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer specialising in DevOps to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about automating and optimizing operations processes has a strong background in software development and is proficient in cloud technologies specifically AWS. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust scalable and efficient software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop test and maintain applications with an emphasis on system health performance and scalability.
  

• Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for a variety of projects.
  

• Manage cloudbased infrastructure on AWS and Azure ensuring high availability performance and security.
  

• Create and maintain environments using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  

• Adhere to coding guidelines and best practices to ensure highquality code.
  

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  

• Participate in code reviews contributing to the team s growth and ensuring coding standards.
  

• Monitor and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure providing solutions to optimize performance.
  

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and introduce improvements to existing systems.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
  

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python Ruby Java).
  

• Strong understanding of AWS services and experience managing cloud infrastructure.
  

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform AWS CloudFormation).
  

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI CircleCI).
  

• Solid understanding of version control systems preferably Git.
  

• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  

• 13 years of experience in IT administration system administration or a similar role.
  

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes).
  

• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation (e.g. Bash PowerShell).
  

• AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Developer AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are plus.
