Job Description

Join us were an Investors in People Silver Standard Company

We have a great new opportunity for a site based Health and Safety Adviser to join our awardwinning HSQE team and to support our Rail division on an 18 month fixed term contract. This key role will be instrumental in the delivery of health and safety excellence across our Rail de vegetation sites in the South Wales area focusing on driving a positive safety culture across all our work.

What you will do;

The role will be field based mainly on site across Cardiff and South Wales.

Specific responsibilities will include;

  • Conducting audits and safety engagements with our field teams
  • Running inductions and safety briefings
  • Completing safety stand downs were needed
  • Reporting on KPIs
  • Liaising with Network Rail when needed on all aspects of H&S to ensure that we are working

Who are we looking for

We would welcome applications from existing Health and Safety Advisers with solid experience in the Rail sector. We could also consider someone who has been in more of an operational role in Rail but you must hold a relevant Level 3 NEBOSH qualification.

Whatever your current role you will need;

  • A proven record or site based H&S experience in the Rail sector
  • Resilient approach to work with the ability to cope in an extremely busy team
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Passionate about making a difference in Health and Safety
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships across field teams and our clients
  • Ability to problem solve and identify practical solutions
  • An indate PTS would be ideal but is not essential
