Manager Engineering - Electrical Capital

we're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka and looking for a Manager Engineering Electrical & Capital for a leading MNC based in Colombo. The Manager of Engineering – Electrical & Capital will provide technical support for automation and controls in the facility manufacturing and packaging departments. Develop and maintain site standards for Electrical systems to ensure compliance with the statutory and corporate policies and approved code of practices. Manage capital and automation and controls from project engineers to this role upon completion of projects. Provides engineering support and service in the form of planning organizing directing and implementing capital and expense projects. Assist in the leadership of automation and control strategy for the site.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the design installation and commissioning & maintenance of site electrical power equipment and distribution systems equipment and associated control systems. Take ownership and manage electrical issues to resolution as they arise.
• Manage projects leading the design programming startup and troubleshooting of process control instrumentation.
• Manage implementation of the Site CAPEX plan and collaborate closely with the site team.
• Comply with and support the Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure documents and diagrams are up to date. Develop and optimize operation and maintenance procedures for instrumentation and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and correct problems with instrumentation and control systems. Provide technical support for existing instrumentation and automation systems. Analyze repairs and maintenance requirements to proactively address system weaknesses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Engineering council registration as a Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng)Prior experience leading the design programming startup troubleshooting and validating of process control systems and instruments including SCADA and PLC systems required.
• Technical understanding of the pharmaceutical / Food industry and engineering practices.
• Minimum 8 years experience pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry.
