We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts from inception to completion ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of contracts from procurement to vendor management.
Requirements
- Maintains Customer Service Contract files
- Manages Quotations Orders and customers communication regarding order status and deliveries
- Reviews proposed contracts to ensure that the price delivery schedule specifications terms and conditions are consistent with the quotation submitted
- Manages changes of orders and ensures changes are within prior contract stipulations or added to contract revisions or changes
- Interpret customer s requirements and specifications as required in the contract
- Communicates with key personnel and departments to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Prepares internal work authorization documents to departments detailing respective responsibilities and authorizing the charging of time and material costs
- Assists with closeout of contracts including the final billing and materials
- Identifies and maintains close contacts with customers or government agencies for the issuance review execution and return of contracts
- Prepares and processes necessary documents such as shipping instructions contract amendments etc.
- Routinely interfaces with other departments to assist with license requirements and addresses daily operations issues
- Assists Procurement and Shipping with proper production classification
- Ensures all required export documentation has been obtained from customers at time of order placement
- Processes all export shipping documents
- Interfaces with freight forwarders/customers to arrange shipments
- Coordinates pickup dates to meet our monthly sales requirements
- Tracks AES filings and obtain proof of filing
- Tracks shipment for Terms of FCA Airport
- Prepares processes and tracks a variety of detailed documents and reports such as customer service job releases work orders and invoices
- Able to provide excellent customer service
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- 5 years of contract management experience in manufacturing industry
- Working comprehension of contracts ITAR and EAR a plus
- Microsoft Office proficiency required
- CostPoint experience a plus
