Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Project Coordinator will lead the coordination and execution of the project ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards. This role involves detailed project planning resource allocation and logistical management of equipment movements. The job holder is also responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and environmental compliance monitoring project progress and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise strong organizational capabilities and effective communication skills to manage teams and project demands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand and manage the project scope of work.

  • Ensure client requirements are met and expectations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Schedule and allocate resources for equipment movement activities.

  • Plan logistics for the efficient and safe movement of mining equipment.

  • Develop and implement Fleet Management Systems (FMS) or similar coordination plans to optimize project scope.

  • Develop detailed project plans timelines and execution strategies.

  • Ensure project plans are aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure all project activities comply with project specifications safety regulations and environmental requirements.

  • Conduct regular inspections to oversee equipment movement operations and address any concerns.

  • Monitor project progress and performance against established goals and objectives.

  • Identify any deviations or issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status milestones and risks.

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that equipment movement activities meet industry standards and client expectations.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes optimize resources and enhance efficiency.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing improvements.

  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing safety policies and procedures.

  • Conduct safety training and participate in incident investigations.

  • Report to DCA management in an organized manner within agreed timeframes and content.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in a miningrelated field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project coordination preferably in the mining industry.

  • Supervisory experience with a track record of effectively managing teams.

  • Experience with ADT excavators dozers drills and dump trucks.

  • Strong understanding of mining methodology equipment and safety practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • knowledge of regulatory requirements and environmental regulations related to open pit mining.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Previous experience with Fleet Management Systems (FMS) is highly regarded.

  • Experience in moving mining equipment using lowloader/float or other similar equipment advantageous.

  • Knowledge of tiedown techniques procedures and safety regulations advantageous.

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Additional mining focused licenses highly regarded
