Job Description

Role purpose

The role Associate

  1. Investor Services has unique requirements and duties; however these responsibilities are to be executed within the organizations framework of core values. It expects all employees to be high performing selfmotivated learners and leaders.
  2. This role is for Hedge Fund Industry which includes functions like Subscription Redemption AML Payment Reporting etc. The incumbent needs to understand the laws of the region supported and perform day to day work in accordance with procedure set for an activity. The role needs to work in rotational shift and there would be shifts starting at 12:30 PM or later.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • This role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to join a dynamic team and to develop their knowledge and skills base to enjoy a career in Investor Services in the Funds industry.

Strategic Focus

  • To meet SLA all the time with agreed quality with counterpart maintain good working relationships with colleagues collaborate with others to achieve the teams goals.

Operational Management

  • Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met.
  • Ensure all task procedures are followed by the team. On an ongoing basis ensure all procedures are maintained and that they reflect updates brought about from internal policy or regulation changes
  • Support and review business process and system changes ensuring business accuracy around all documentation and impacts to service delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams across geographical locations.
  • Support the continued creation of the efficient operating model ensuring India hub is established with appropriate controls
  • Respond to enquiries promptly proactively handling issues and striving for the highest levels of customer service
  • Accurately review and complete various operational tasks in a timely manner including but not limited review of data updated correctly in the system review of activities performed by the administrators.
  • Maintain department procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements SLAs best practice and Company policies.
  • Provide a contact point and/or assistance with queries from Clients Depositories etc and key contacts.
  • Identify instances of noncompliance and refer to the Senior Managers and the Compliance Department and resolve them.
  • Maintain staff training and competence standards with regular 11 and team meeting.
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and assist other areas of the business as and when required.
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of the investment industry.
  • Get trained and regularly perform production activities to manage own skill level.
  • Resolving complaints and solving problems on behalf of Clients Depositories etc.
  • Maintenance of departmental Risk Register.
  • Assisting the Manager respond to regular reviews/audits and Compliance Visits.
  • Champion any change or improvement initiative by the organisation.
  • For areas of responsibility ensure: 1. Emerging risks are identified assessed and captured within the departmental risk register and where appropriate subject to escalation to senior management. 2. Operational controls are carried out in accordance with the laid down business policies and procedures. 3. Actions for improvements are dealt with in accordance with agreed timescales. 4. Proactivity in identifying areas for control improvement.

People Leadership.

  • To be a mentor to the new joiners or colleagues who need assistance.
  • Work collaboratively across the firm to achieve the Goals of the team / company.
  • Motivate the team to ensure talent retention and create positive work culture.
  • Manage leaves shrinkage and other parameters as per company standard
