Job Description
We are looking for a highly detailoriented GL accountant to work closely with internal departments and perform accounting tasks. Your main responsibilities will include auditing financial information for accuracy ensuring compliance with regulations and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
To be successful in this role you should have a strong understanding of best practices in general ledger accounting and relevant experience in a similar position.
- Collaborating with internal departments to gather analyze and interpret relevant financial information.
- Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Analyze different general ledger accounts regularly.
- Preparing financial statements and other reports based on standard accounting practices.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel
- Maintaining records regarding payments and account status.
- Performing audits on financial data to assure its accuracy
- Gathering supporting documentation and performing record keeping.
Requirements
- Bachelors or associates degree in accounting or in a related specialization.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Experience with general ledger functions accounts payable accounts receivable
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
