Position: Special Education Teacher

Job Overview: The School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic fulltime Special Education Teacher to join our team in Enfield NH. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs ensuring they receive an inclusive highquality education that fosters academic social and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Instructional Planning and Delivery:

   • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
   • Design and deliver engaging lessons that accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
   • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support student learning and progress.

2. Assessment and Evaluation:

   • Conduct assessments to identify students strengths needs and progress.
   • Monitor and document student performance adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
   • Prepare and present detailed reports on student progress and development.

3. Classroom Management:

   • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
   • Implement effective behavior management strategies to support students social and emotional wellbeing.
   • Foster a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work collaboratively with general education teachers support staff and administrators to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
   • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
   • Participate in IEP meetings providing valuable insights and recommendations.

5. Professional Development:

   • Stay current with best practices in special education through ongoing professional development.
   • Attend workshops conferences and training sessions as required.
   • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance the overall effectiveness of the special education program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferably in a K12 setting.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
