Operations Credit Manager

About Our Client

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

• Develop and implement operational policies procedures and standards to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  
• Oversee daytoday banking operations including customeroriented services.
  
• Monitor operational performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.
  
• Coordinate with finance to ensure alignment of operational activities with business objectives.
  
• Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  

Credit Management:

• Develop and implement credit policies guidelines and procedures to manage credit risk effectively in line with the BoG regulations.
  
• Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers review credit applications and establish credit limits and terms.
  
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and collection efforts to minimize bad debt losses and improve cash flow.
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers banks and credit agencies to facilitate credit approval and collection processes.
  
• Conduct periodic credit reviews and assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  

Risk Mitigation:

• Identify operational and creditrelated risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  
• Implement internal controls and compliance measures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  
• Conduct regular assessments of operational and credit processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  
• Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  
• Supervise and mentor operations and credit team members providing guidance and support as needed.
  
• Foster a culture of teamwork collaboration and continuous improvement within the business.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business Administration Finance Risk management Accounting Actuarial Engineering or related field. Professional certification (ICA ACCA CFA) will be an added advantage.
  
• Proven experience in Operations management Banking operations Credit analysis and Risk management preferably in a managerial role.
  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform decisionmaking.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  
• Proficiency in financial analysis reporting and ERP systems.
  
• Leadership abilities with experience in supervising and motivating teams to achieve business goals.
  
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in banking operations credit management and risk mitigation.
