Our client is a multinational pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturing company with its business operations in Lagos.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
- Monitoring and controlling the planning and implementation of sales strategies carried out by the Sales Dept. monitoring and evaluating the Sales Analysis and Operations and Trade marketing processes.
- Provide recommendations in the sales process and Sales Analysis and Operations to support the smooth running of sales activities according to the established plan.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALES STRATEGY AND PLANNING
- Evaluate the process and provide approval in the preparation of distribution strategy planning.
- Provide recommendations in the process of:
- Development of market potential.
- Regular meetings with branches and distributors
- Preparation of Sales Force Team materials/documents
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR
- Implementation of the distribution strategy planning process on time.
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of developing market potential.
- Availability of relevant recommendations in periodic meetings with branches and distributors.
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of preparing materials/documents for Sales Force Team preparation.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR
- Making relevant recommendations in the process of coordinating sales activities and achieving sales/distribution targets with distributors.
- Make relevant recommendations in the process of contacting Sales/Distributors.
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of compiling a business review and business plan.
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of managing cooperation agreements with distributors.
- The implementation of the cooperation process in achieving the targets/support activities according to standards.
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of preparing the promotion plan.
SALES ACTIVITY CONTROL
- Provide inprocess recommendations which include:
- Monitor the use of budgets and promotional materials.
- Ensure timely delivery of sales reports from distributors.

- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of monitoring the use of budgets and promotional materials.
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of sending sales reports on time.
MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS
- Evaluate the process and provide approval in the process of making recommendations for action plans related to national level sales issues.
- Evaluate the process and provide approval in the process which includes:
- Analysis of data on market conditions and competitor activities
- Obtaining sales data and information supporting market conditions.
- Research planning and implementation
- Report on the findings of target market research data.
- Provide inprocess recommendations which include:
- Making estimates of the annual budget of the sales department
- Branch monthly sales historical data
- Generating historical sales data for monthly distribution
- Recapitulation of monthly sales historical data for branches and distributors.
- Evaluate the process and provide approval in the process which includes:
- Making monthly sales target for each distributor and branch area
- Distribution of sales target data to the subordinates.
- Provide recommendations in the data recapitulation process to estimate annual expense needs including:
- Data recapitulation of estimated branch expense requirements
- Recapitulation of data on the estimated needs of distributors expense representatives
- Data recapitulation of estimated expense needs for branches and representative distributors.
- Evaluate the process and provide approval in the process which includes:
- Sales department. systems and procedures.
- Become an event organizer for training and meeting sales department.
- Set Up the incentive scheme for sales department.
- Branch and distributor grading.

- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of analyzing Branch and Distributor sales data
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of analyzing national sales data.
- Accurate and timely implementation of the national sales data analysis process.

- The process of analyzing data on market conditions and competitor activities accurately.
- Implementation of the process of obtaining sales data and market information in an accurate and timely manner.

- Implementation of the process of making and distributing sales targets according to standards and on time
- Availability of relevant recommendations in the process of calculating the expense needs of branches and distributor representatives.
- Implementation of sales department systems and procedures according to standards.
DESIGNING OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS
- Provide recommendations in the process of making data systems and sales reports for branches/distributors.
- Evaluate the process and provide approval in the process of making conclusions on data system requirements and branch/distributor reports
- Provide recommendations in the process of making branch/distributor sales financial data systems which include:
- Designing data systems and reports
- Set up the mechanism of implementing data systems and reports
- Designing system development as needed.
- Vendor search for developing system development.
DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION OF PROMOTION ACTIVITIES
- Evaluate the process and give approval in the whole process of developing & implementing promotion and sampling activities.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop plans and programs for performance management systems risk management systems and good corporate governance in the departments/fields of work that are their responsibility to ensure the availability of the number of employees and competencies required by the company.
- Finance Accounting: Sales Report Consolidation Budget Data Collection
- Ensuring proper agreement with distributors.
EXPERIENCE: 8 years & Above

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree / HND in Management Social Sciences Biological Sciences etc
