Introduction:

As a Metal Fabrication Powder Coat Technician at Central Moloney you play a vital role in the finishing process of our transformer components. Your attention to detail and experience in powder coating will ensure that our products meet the highest quality and durability standards.

We are hiring for our 1st shift from 6:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating including cleaning sanding and masking as needed.
• Operate powder coating equipment to apply coatings to metal parts ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
• Monitor and control the baking process to cure powdercoated parts correctly.
• Inspect finished products for quality ensuring coatings are free from defects such as runs drips or thin spots.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work area ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned showcasing versatility and commitment to excellence.

Additional Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in powder coating or a similar manufacturing role preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and working conditions.
• Background check Drug & Physical Screening required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise extreme temperatures and environmental stressors.
• Physical Activities: Sit stand walk bend climb crouch reach and grasp as needed.
• PPE: Wear the required PPE including eye and hearing protection gloves and safety toe footwear.
• Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close distance color peripheral depth perception and focus adjustment).
• Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
• Skills: Effective communication basic math skills and teamwork.
• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.

Shift Schedule:

• We are hiring for:
• 1st Shift: Monday to Thursday from 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
• This position may require extended daily and overtime hours to meet customer needs.
• Overtime is based on business needs.
