Sr Java Developer

Role: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Remote

Experience: 10 14 Years

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and troubleshoot complex software problems and provide solutions to

overcome those problems using the Java language and related technologies.

2. Work with business users to understand business requirements issues and business

and/or client processes.

3. Develop test maintain and support highperformance innovative webbased

applications to meet the requirements of the business and/clients while adhering to

departmental standards.

4. Provide recommendations for application and system improvements.

5. Perform quality assurance testing for all programs created or modified plus any other

applications affected.

6. Prepare required documentation as outlined by departmental standards.

7. Coaching and Mentoring other team members.

8. Meet with scrum team as required to define and document application requirements.

9. Conduct Code review and design of systems as needed

10. Follow Project development & deployment process

11. Development in accordance with industry standards and best practices is a must.

12. Provide offhour support as assigned

13. Ability to multi task and set priorities throughout the SDLC process.

14. Prepare required documentation as outlined by departmental standards.

15. Provide LOE for upcoming business initiatives.

16. Collaborate with Architects on system design and solutions

17. Solve complex system issues and provide solutions

18. Researching new technologies and apply them in current/upcoming projects

19. Ability to identify and recommend solutions to optimize the performance of

applications

20. Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively both verbally and in writing

21. Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Experience leading a team of 3 5 developers

Must have excellent oral and written communication.

Must have at least 10 years developing Enterprise Java Applications

Extensive handson experience in development of Java J2EE applications; utilizing

objectoriented design ntier architecture and MVC frameworks.

Implemented several enterprise architecture patterns.

Familiar with UI stack development technologies (JavaScript HTML CSS)

Extensive experience in Java technology frameworks (Dependency Injection ORM

Message

Brokers)

Experience of NoSQL(Cassandra Redis) or RDBMS(preferably Oracle) databases

Experience working on complex mission critical applications

Extensive handson experience designing and implementing REST/SOAP interfaces

Experience working in an Agile team environment

Experience working on HighVolume HighAvailability Transactional applications is

required.

Ability to mentor other engineers on the team

Conducting code reviews and ensuring teams are following best design and coding

practices

Experience working on Web and Application Servers (Preferably WebSphere & Jboss)

Familiar with secure coding practices and OWASP TOP 10 Desired: Linux Experience

Sonar

Jenkins Experience Gradle Docker containers Spring Boot AWS Cloud.
