  Product management of the inhouse developed payment service. Setting the strategic direction of the product based on customer needs and market trends planning and promoting the necessary features to achieve business goals formulating roadmaps for product improvement based on market trends proposing value maximization of the product based on market research and customer feedback and collaborating with the business/engineering team to grow the product. Additionally supporting the engineering team with hardwarerelated knowledge and experience.

  Specific Examples of Responsibilities

  • Planning formulating and executing product plans.
  • Defining product requirements and prioritizing development.
  • Formulating product roadmaps.
  • Planning and conducting user research collecting/analyzing user feedback.
  • Participating in various reviews during development and providing overall direction until product release.
  • Negotiating with product manufacturers handling inquiries and ensuring product quality. *The management scope includes payment terminals mobile apps serverside APIs and administrative screens. *It is not necessary to be able to perform all expected tasks immediately; this can be discussed during the interview.

  Background of Recruitment and Expected Role

  To accelerate the productdriven business cycle the organization was reorganized in FY23 and a new product department was established. Specifically we are looking for someone with development experience and knowhow for embedded systems from OS to middleware to apps who can occasionally support the engineering team. The main expectation is to drive the planning of new payment terminals grow existing products/businesses and promote the planning of new products in collaboration with PMMs and UI/UX designers. Also support the engineering team and negotiate with manufacturers based on your experience.

  Currently you will be involved in a project related to an evolving payment solution (softwarebased product that operates on smart devices rather than paymentspecific terminals) and a solution that combines facetoface payment in physical stores with nonfacetoface payment conducted online.

  For those who have the following expertise:

  1. Experience as a PdM (Product Manager) or business leader or as a project manager (leader) for SaaS or system products.
  2. Experience in planning proposing and developing new products or features.
  3. Experience in designing and developing embedded systems including OS middleware and applications not limited to payment terminals.
  4. Skill in structured documentation.
  • Experience with inhouse products is not mandatory but a mindset for driving initiatives in a productdriven manner rather than relying on outsourcing is essential.

Annual Salary:JPY based on experience ability and previous work experience

• Wage Structure: Monthly salary
• Salary Revisions: Twice a year
• Overtime allowance for hours worked beyond the regular schedule will be provided (depending on the job position and grade)
