  The role of a QA Engineer is to nurture a culture of quality that is essential for the development of our services in line with our mission. They support the continuous improvement of the products quality. To achieve this they play a crucial role in conducting prerelease testing analyzing defect information providing feedback to the development team and streamlining the testing process.

  In the QA team we are looking for individuals who have a sense of responsibility for contributing to the progress of society by committing to quality and can act autonomously.

  Job Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the development team you will be responsible for test planning design and execution during product development.
  • You will introduce and promote efficient and effective testing techniques such as riskbased testing and agile testing.
  • You will collect measure analyze defect data and consider solutions for continuous quality improvement.
  • You will drive quality improvement within the development team.

  Development Organization:

  • We have introduced various unique systems including:
    • Kyoosu System: A system where one engineer chosen through voting commits to proposing and improving our environment and product and dedicates a month to delivering outstanding output.
    • Committee System: There are voluntary committees for the entire engineering team such as the Frontend Committee and Development Productivity Improvement Committee which engineers can freely join.
    • Volunteer Transfer System: Every six months engineers can volunteer for transfers that allow them to learn different domains or technologies contributing to their growth.
    • Development Retreats: Every year engineers stay at a hot spring resort to focus on the development they commit to. In 2019 even the CEO Sasaki participated and received reviews from new hires.
    • Choice of Keyboard Layout (JIS/US) for Mac PCs.
    • Commit Access to Any Repository: There are no rules against committing to any repository; if you receive an LGTM (Looks Good To Me) in a review youre good to go.
    • Emphasis on Team Development: Processes are determined by the team. While agile development is prevalent teams can choose to work with Scrum Kanban or XP.
    • Engineering Managers (EM) Product Managers (PM) Quality Assurance (QA) and User Experience (UX) organizations have skill cuts but work is featurefocused.

  • Have a strong commitment to delivering the value that our inhouse product offers to users and are determined to achieve the necessary level of quality.
  • View testing as part of the product development process and are committed to creating value for users collaboratively.
  • Want to establish a framework for building quality by involving all members of the product development process.
  • Have practical experience in quality reviews for upstream processes riskbased test design and test execution.
  • Possess strong soft skills that enable flexible communication with Product Managers (PdMs) Engineers and UX Designers.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and adaptability to thrive in an environment filled with new challenges and opportunities.

  • Knowledge in one of the following domains: accounting human resources and labor management tax reporting or finance (lending).
