Role description:

Provides complex technical support planning and coordination for the distributed Windows computer environment including desktop software and hardware issues.
-
Performs diagnosing of installations and resolution of desktop computer operating system instrument connections application software and hardware technologies and associated problems for a Life Sciences company working in a regulated GxP environment.
-
Tasked with gathering the required information to create schedule and deploy application packages and OS Images via SCCM and MDT on a large GLOBAL scale
Essential Responsibilities

Proactively support Windows infrastructure technology to maintain 24x7 uptime
-
Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
-
Fault finding analysis and logging information for reporting of performance
-
Manage coordinate and implement software upgrades patches hot fixes on workstations
-
Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
-
Provide input on ways to improve the stability security efficiency and scalability of the environment
-
Responsible for Software and security deployments using SCCM/MECM & Landscape.
-
Identifies and implements ways to strengthen streamline and automate configuration and deployment processes for imaging workstations and updating Operating Systems via SCCM/MECM and other tools.

Group policies create new deploy troubleshoot; review old deconstruct remediate

Ability to write technical instructions for complex setups in an easytounderstand manner

Strong scripting skills PowerShell AutoIT; specific to system and application configuration
-
Provides guidance to less experienced personal on hardware and software to ensure compliance with established standards policies and configuration guidelines.

Required Qualifications/skills

Fluent in English both verbal and written.

Intermediate knowledge of ITIL v3 or later and ITSM best practices.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Expert knowledge and experience on Group Policy Objects (GPOs) Active Directory security and compliancy configurations.
-
Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS HTTP LDAP SMTP and SNMP.

Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Intermediate knowledge and understanding of LAN environments.

Intermediate knowledge of communication protocols.

Basic knowledge of riskbased security configuration.

Preferred Qualifications
-
College degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent applied experience.
-
Experience in a regulated GMP environment.
-
5 years of progressive experience in skills listed above.
