Voice and Data Provisioning Officer

As an IT Voice and Data Provisioning Officer your main responsibility is to manage the provisioning

process of voice and data services within the client s IT infrastructure.

You will be tasked with coordinating the deployment configuration and maintenance of

telecommunications systems networks and associated technologies to ensure seamless connectivity

and communication across the client / organisation.

Responsibilities

Service Provisioning: Coordinate the provisioning of voice and data services including telephone

lines internet connectivity VoIP systems and related IT infrastructure components. Work closely

with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely service activation.

Cancellation and change to existing services to ensure customer impacts are minimised and

administration is completed within the expected timeframes.

Technical Configuration: Oversee the configuration and setup of telecommunications equipment

network devices and software applications necessary for voice and data communication.

Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement solutions that meet the organization's technical

specifications and security standards.

Vendor Coordination: Liaise with telecommunications service providers and vendors to facilitate the

installation activation and maintenance of voice and data services. Manage vendor relationships

escalate issues as needed and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual

obligations.

Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end

users experiencing voice and data connectivity issues. Diagnose network problems identify root

causes and implement solutions to restore service functionality and minimize downtime.

Documentation and Reporting: Document provisioning activities configurations and system

changes in accordance with established procedures and standards. Generate reports metrics and

performance indicators to track service delivery identify trends and make recommendations for

improvement.

Security and Compliance: Ensure that voice and data provisioning activities comply with relevant

security policies regulatory requirements and industry standards. Implement security measures

such as access controls encryption and vulnerability assessments to safeguard network

infrastructure and sensitive data.

Requirements

Proven experience in IT provisioning telecommunications or network administration.

Strong technical proficiency in voice and data technologies including PBX systems routers

switches and telecommunications protocols.

Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Knowledge of security principles compliance requirements and risk management practices

related to voice and data provisioning.

Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management concepts is a plus.

Relevant certifications such as CCNA CompTIA Network or ITIL Foundation are desirable.

Bachelor's degree in information technology computer science or related field will be highly

regarded.
