Overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans in line with the IBDP Biology and ESS curriculum.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to ensure student understanding and engagement.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress.
• Integrate relevant technology and resources into the learning environment.
• Establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes learning and respect.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods including examinations presentations and projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
• Support and guide students in their academic and personal growth.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Biology Environmental Science or related field.
• Teaching certification or licensure in relevant subject areas.
• Prior experience teaching IBDP Biology and ESS courses is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of the IBDP curriculum and assessment practices.
• Proven ability to create a dynamic and enriching learning environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students parents and colleagues.
• Proficiency in educational technology and its integration into the classroom.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Passion for environmental education and sustainability initiatives.
