Our R&D division is growing globally and we are looking for an experienced Embedded Team Lead to join our dynamic team at the new R&D site in Bangalore India.

As the Embedded Team Lead you will lead a team of talented embedded engineers in designing developing and implementing advanced power electronic control systems. With your extensive experience in Firmware Development and people management you will play a critical role in our projects ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality efficiency and innovation.

What will you be doing

• Lead the design and development of embedded systems and firmware for SolarEdges power products including inverters power optimizers energy storage solutions and communication interfaces.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of engineers providing technical guidance and leadership to ensure project goals are met.
• Excellent project management skills with experience managing complex projects across multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including hardware engineers software developers and product managers to define system requirements and architect innovative embedded solutions.
• Develop and implement efficient and reliable embedded software in C/C for various microcontrollers and processors used in SolarEdge products.
• Conduct thorough testing and verification of embedded software to ensure its functionality performance and compliance with quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug embedded software and hardware interactions identifying and resolving issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews providing constructive feedback to team members and ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in embedded systems to propose and integrate cuttingedge technologies into SolarEdges products.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and validation teams to support the production and testing of embedded systems during the manufacturing process.
• Support the certification process by providing necessary documentation and technical inputs to comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of engineers.
• Excellent project management skills with experience managing complex projects across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements :

• Bachelors (B.E./B.Tech.) or master s degree (M.E./M.Tech.) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded systems and firmware development power electronics with at least 3 years in a people management role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C with handson experience in realtime operating systems (RTOS) and baremetal development.
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers microprocessors and embedded system architectures.
• Handon experience with Microprocessors such as TI DSP Controllers ST Renesas etc.
• Experience with advanced SW control common methods such as SIL /HIL
• Experience with test automation.
• Experience with PLECS / Typhoon HIL is desirable.
• Good knowledge of RTOS concepts is desirable.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems.
• Working knowledge of the protocols and devices driver for SPI I2C UART CAN
• Design and implement control algorithms for digital control of power electronics systems such as DC/DC converters and DC/AC Inverters operating at high switching frequencies.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in developing control algorithms for Power electronics converters/Inverters.
• Experience developing device drivers and executing a tight interrupt loop in bare metal implementation.
• Experience in optimizing firmware algorithms to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Working knowledge in using JTAG/SWD debugger.
• Experience in board bringup peripheral integration and device driver development.
• Strong debugging and problemsolving skills with a track record of delivering robust and reliable embedded software.
• Knowledge of software development tools version control systems and debugging tools for embedded systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Experience in the renewable energy or power electronics industry is an added advantage.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during product development. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in power electronics and firmware technologies.
• Drive results within constraints of Product life cycle development and production at scale.
• Resultsoriented mindset with a focus on achieving tangible and measurable results.
