Job Description

Production Head Rubber Plant
Job Description:
Takes responsibility to manage and drive team to achieve manufacturing target of OK parts.
Manages operators wisely and organizes operators shifts overtime and leave cover to ensure adequate machine crewing to achieve required output.
Monitors Supervisor on Assessment of operator's performance and Identifies training needs to ensure that adequate training is carried out.
Monitors Supervisor on Organizes material movement to ensure operations are optimized.
Monitors daily performance of plant production and processes and calculates OEE.
Maintains records of product deviation to ensure controlled disposition of nonconforming products and to provide data for the identification of opportunities for corrective action.
Motivate team members for continuous improvements.
Monitors & Supports Supervisor on Ensure 5S in the production work area.
Ensure the team follows rules/guidelines which are agreed upon from time to time.
Along with Supervisor ensure safe work environment
Supports Supervisor on Defective Parts Advance Trouble Shooting before demanding compound changes CAPA
New Part Development Input on New TOOL Receive New Tool Tool Validation Complete DOE Move to production.
Job Responsibilities:

1. Take monthly schedule (requirement of finished products) from accounts/ sales.
2. Convert monthly schedule into weekly and daily targets.
3. Prepare Production Planning Sheet
4. Prepare Compound Planning Sheet and share it with Mixing Team Monthly and Daily3 days
5. Share monthly & weekly schedule with mixing team for providing compound on time.
6. Ensuring PPE and providing clothes/ tools for working.
7. Monitors Supervisor on Assign machines to each operator as per skill set and ensure manpower machine and compound availability for all shifts.
8. Ensure Supervisor comes Early at 7 am on first working day after every nonworking day to switch on the machines.
9. Fill the check sheet after Mold changeover
10. Check machine settings
11. Monitor daily production & adjust daily / weekly targets to achieve monthly targets
12. Verify daily production log sheet and operator productivity with target

13. Floor supervision
a. Match machine settings with check sheet (Monitors Supervisor)
b. Escalate compound unavailability to Mixing Lead/Head
c. Advance Trouble Shooting for addressing production related issues
d. Check rejection / sample quality checks and ensure handling of molded Material (OK/ Reject / Rework / Segregation) as per system. (Monitors Supervisor)
e. Ensure quality of products and low rejection. (Monitors Supervisor)
f. Ensure analysis of problem (RCA) & effective implementation of CAPA for the internal / External problems and update in ERP/Excel
g. Notify Quality/ Maintenance or the Mixing department head in case of any machine breakdowns/ quality issues/ mixing issues etc.
14. Monitor machine operators and offer real time feedback.
15. To authorize leave / short leave & OT of workers.
16. Update & validate daily production sheet received from Packing Team.
17. Daily review MTD (month to date) production sheet with target sheet.
18. Plan weekly shifts (Monitors Supervisor) / manage attendance (Monitors Supervisor) / leaves
19. Verify press and Fill out Setup approval report for each mold (30 mins) (Monitors Supervisor)
20. Incoming compound inspection sheet fill out (Monitors Supervisor)
21. Audit Handling IATF
a. Production
b. To ensure timely closing of NC's/Observation arise due to customer/external/ internal audits and stop reoccurrence of the same.
22. NPD Input on New TOOL Receive New Tool Tool Validation Complete DOE Move to production. Update NPD File
23. Facilitate the audit initiated by customer (preorder or production audit)
24. Train new machine operators and ensure skill upgradation of all employees in the dept.
25. Identify continuous improvement / Kaizen and implement actions.
26. To present his departmental performance in monthly performance review meeting
27. Implement 5S (Monitors Supervisor)
Skillset:
Salary : Incremental increase from previous package (Limit of 50K PM CTC). Added Bonus structure based on performance.
Industry: Rubber Part Manufacturing

Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years in production department manufacturing rubber parts
Should be able to use computer & MS Office Excel Word Powerpoint and Outlook
SelfDriven & Solution Oriented
Proficiency in scientific rubber injection molding (Preferably with DESMA Injection Molding Machines) and compression molding machines for advanced trouble shooting.
Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred qualification: Bachelors/ Masters
Gender: Male
