Role Overview:

The VP of Finance & Accounts will be at the helm of Value Carts financial operations playing a pivotal role in shaping the companys financial strategy ensuring regulatory compliance and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Planning: Craft and implement longterm financial strategies aligned with the companys objectives. Oversee annual budgets forecasts and financial plans.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct indepth financial analyses to identify trends and opportunities. Present comprehensive financial reports to senior management.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential financial risks and devise strategies to mitigate them. Ensure robust internal financial controls.
• Tax & Compliance: Oversee all fiscal reporting activities ensuring adherence to both direct and indirect tax regulations. Stay updated with evolving financial regulations in India.
• Stakeholder Communication: Engage with key stakeholders including investors financial institutions and auditors. Represent the company in financial discussions and negotiations.
• Capital Management: Manage the companys capital structure ensuring optimal utilization of resources. Evaluate potential investment opportunities.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Operational Efficiency: Champion process improvements leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Play an instrumental role in potential M&A activities from due diligence to financial integration.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor the companys liquidity ensuring sufficient funds for operational and capital investment needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Background: A Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field. Chartered Accountant certification is mandatory. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
• Professional Certification: Additional certifications like CFA or CPA are advantageous.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance with a track record in senior financial managerial roles. Experience in the ecommerce sector especially in startups will be a distinct advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software advanced Excel functionalities VBA and macros. Familiarity with financial modeling is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication abilities analytical thinking and a keen eye for detail. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment are crucial.
