COST CONTROLLER

Reports to: Senior Controller
Our client is one of the leading agroprocessing companies in Ghana and Africa.
Scope
The Cost Controller will be primarily responsible for preparing the cost and financial annual budget cost reconciliations managing stock levels and planning cost optimization workshops.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor all stock flows including controlling internal interorganizational systems.
- Oversee the internal movement of stock to external shops and warehouses in Kumasi and Takoradi.
- Control and monitor job orders ensuring that PLC reports match the ERP data.
- Exercise full control over the daily consumption of packaging materials and labels and conduct weekly stock takes.
- Maintain an overview of stock on hand in both internal and external warehouses and reconcile the quantities in the ERP system with onsite stock weekly.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts and utilities.
- Conduct monthly Tax health checks under the supervision of the Finance Controller.
- Collaborate with assigned departments to prepare cost and financial annual budgets.
- Oversee cost reconciliations and plan cost optimization workshops to support company efforts.

- A Professional Accounting qualification ICAG/ACCA/CIMA or a Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance or any related field of study.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role or its equivalent.
- A good working knowledge of major accounting software.
- Experience with national and international financial reporting structures.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good decisionmaking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suites specifically Microsoft Excel.
