About The Role
The role includes supervision of daily accounting and finance transactions & processes financial reporting statutory requirements leading business risks discussions compliance and group tax advice. The employee will be responsible for producing management accounts that will be submitted to the Group organization monthly and quarterly financial report to the companys Ghana Board and for chairing finance meetings with all department heads. The employee will be responsible for managing the companys Ghana bank accounts cashflow requirements and liaising with the CFO for FCN on Cash requirements. The employee will be given accountability for small business projects that will expand his/her project management experience.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the finance team and provide coaching and training to ensure they are prepared for their duties.
Oversee the monthly financial reporting process to the Group and Quarterly reporting to the Ghana Board of Directors.
Prepare cashflow projections/forecasts and communicate with the Managing Director and the Group Head of Finance on cash requirements to support smooth flow of operational activities.
Supervise periodic reports to donors and ensure compliance with donor agreements.
Supervise the maintenance of records and documents in respect of recorded entries in the accounting system to facilitate both internal and external (statutory tax and SSNIT audit).
Prepare annual statutory financial statements coordinate with external auditors to ensure the accounts are audited and filed with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Registrar of Companies before the statutory deadlines.
Support the monthly payroll process and ensure compliance with labour laws withholding tax and social security requirements in payroll transactions.
Manage relationship with internal (HoDs & staff) and external stakeholders (donors auditors solicitors bankers suppliers tax authorities etc.)
Responsible for compliance with and timely filing & payment of monthly employee social security contributions withholding taxes PAYE and any other relevant statutory deductions.
Coordinate the annual budget process with HoDs and the CEO. Prepare cost analysis and cashflow projections to facilitate the approval of the budget at Board Meetings
Drive the implementation of the new Payroll Software
Periodically review the business risks associated with the companys financial operations and activities and advice if needed.
Any other reasonable duties as set by Management.

Requirements

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ICAG ACCA CIMA CPA)
  • Qualification at higher level (degree or masters) in accounting or any related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years postqualification experience
  • At least two years working as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant
  • Experience of financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central)
  • Experience of financial audit requirements
  • IT literate (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Stakeholder management/effective communication
  • Strong analytical & administrative skills
    Desirable Experience:
  • Experience with Tax Laws of Ghana relevant to Ghana s business operations. Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data identify trends and make datadriven decisions.
  • Precision in managing financial records budgets and reports.
  • Capability to develop longterm financial strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Proficiency in conveying financial information clearly to stakeholders including nonfinancial managers and executives.
  • Ability to lead a finance team delegate tasks and develop team members.
  • Aptitude for identifying financial issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Expertise in using financial software and spreadsheets (e.g. Excel)
