Our client is a leading technology company committed to innovation and excellence delivering cuttingedge solutions to clients. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join their dynamic finance team.
Job Summary: The Controller will oversee all financial activities including accounting financial reporting budgeting and compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills attention to detail and a deep understanding of the technology industry. The Controller will work closely with senior management to support strategic decisionmaking and ensure the company's financial health and growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
- Oversee all accounting operations including Billing A/R A/P GL Cost Accounting Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation consulting with outside advisors and filing financial reports.
- Advise management of actions and potential risks.

Internal Controls:
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Implement and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

Audit:
- Manage and coordinate internal and external audits.
- Provide recommendations for improvement as needed to enhance the company's financial performance and ensure compliance.

Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Provide technical support and advice on management.

Strategic Planning:
- Support the CFO in engaging the board of directors around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
- Assist in the company's strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 710 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 35 years in a leadership role within the technology industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to nonfinancial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting in a tech environment.
- Familiarity with venture capital and private equity funding.
- Experience in scaling finance operations in a highgrowth tech company.
