The IT Voice & Data Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of voice and data networks for our client. The role requires strong technical expertise in network infrastructure telecommunications and data systems. The Voice & Data Resident Engineer will work closely with client to understand their requirements design appropriate solutions and ensure the smooth operation of their network infrastructure.

1. Alcatel OpenTouch Solution (Unified)
2. OmniPCX Enterprise (OXE)
3. Alcatel OmniPCX Office (OXO)
4. Alcatel Contact Center for Enterprise (ACS) infrastructure and
5. Alcatel OmniVista 8770 Software.
- Engage in presales activities to provide technical support and assistance to clients for voice and data networkrelated problems.
- Must have experience in systems networking (ABCF over IP & SIP).
- Good understanding of OmniVista 8770 DECT & VoWiFi application integration.
- Implement network upgrades expansions and migrations as required.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates patch management and system backups.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Document network configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps.
- He/she should be enjoying complexity ambiguity and firsttime problem solving.
- Deliver projects on time ensuring quality standards are met.
- Complete projects and tasks in a timely manner.
- Work with users/IT team to troubleshoot and solve operational issues.
- Develop support documentation including risk logs and requirement specifications.
- Conducting enduser training for the Alcatel systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Proven experience (2 years) in a similar role providing technical support to endusers in a corporate environment.
- Indepth knowledge of voice and data networking protocols including TCP/IP DNS DHCP VoIP SIP MPLS etc.
- Handson experience with equipment such as routers voice servers switches firewalls and wireless access points.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to convey technical information clearly to nontechnical users.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Certifications such as CCNA CCNP or equivalent are highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
- This role typically operates in an office environment primarily at clients office.
- May be required to work outside regular business hours to provide support during maintenance windows or in case of critical incidents.
Job Type: Fulltime
Pay: Up to RO350.000 per month
