Job Description

Overview:

The Senior Consultant Radiologist MD DNB plays a vital role in providing accurate diagnostic interpretations and contributing to patient care. They are responsible for leading a team of radiologists and maintaining high standards in diagnostic imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting medical images accurately and providing timely reports.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Leading and supporting a team of radiologists to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Utilizing advanced imaging technology to diagnose various medical conditions.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards in radiology practices.
  • Participating in research and development activities to enhance radiology practices.
  • Providing consultations to referring physicians and other healthcare specialists.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases.
  • Training and mentoring junior radiologists and medical staff.
  • Participating in continuing medical education and staying updated with advancements in radiology.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DNB in Radiodiagnosis from a recognized institution.
  • Board certification in radiology.
  • Active medical license and registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in diagnostic imaging and radiology reporting.
  • Expertise in various medical imaging modalities such as MRI CT Xray and ultrasound.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong leadership and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Indepth knowledge of radiology principles techniques and best practices.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
  • Publication record in peerreviewed journals (preferred).
  • Experience in teaching and supervising residents and fellows (preferred).
  • Advanced training in subspecialty areas of radiology (preferred).
  • Proven track record in quality improvement and research in radiology (preferred).
