Job Description

As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in driving the HR function and overseeing a HRBP department. Reporting directly to the Associate Director HRBP, you will manage a team of HRBPs and other HR professionals, ensuring seamless HR operations and providing strategic support to our employees.

Key Responsibilities

Aligning HR initiatives with Capitol Bridge’s company objectives, mission, vision, and values.

HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance to senior leadership on HR matters.

Team Management:

  • Manage a team of HRBPs, providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Oversee the HRBP department, including the assignment of responsibilities and projects.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement and support program initiatives.

Change Management:

  • Spearhead HR-related change management efforts.

Compliance and Policy Adherence:

  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices follow relevant laws and regulations.
  • Oversee HR initiatives related to legal and regulatory compliance.

Supervisory Role


Support Capitol Bridge’s HRBP team, ensuring smooth personnel and daily operations. This includes guidance on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. Additionally, provide remote support to all staff members, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with local leadership on HR decisions and processes.
  • Evaluate potential issues or service needs and develop responses.
  • Demonstrate employee advocacy and establish a reputation as a neutral HR professional.
  • Mediate difficult employee relations and other interactions
  • Lead talent management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Supporting initiatives to the employee performance evaluation and career development process.
  • Assist the leadership team with budget formulation and management.
  • Support training initiatives and other assigned projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of HRBP-level experience in a corporate setting, demonstrating strong leadership and hand-on capabilities in Employee Relations, Talent Management, Change Management, Performance Management, and Regulatory Compliance.

Preferred Skills

  • 5 years of recent HRBP experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Self-starter with the ability to balance conflicting points of view, function effectively under pressure, and demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems by leveraging business/HR knowledge and client relationships.
  • Logical mindset with the ability to organize thinking on issues, develop thorough execution plans, and drive processes to successful implementation.
  • Ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively, and respond appropriately.
  • Quick learner who can adapt to new systems and create improved efficiency.
  • Excellent follow-up skills with a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.
