Job Description

ABGi Canada a subsidiary of Visiativ is seeking a Senior SR&ED Consultant to join our dynamic team of Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit professionals. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing and entrepreneurial R&D team in Toronto. Founded in 1990 ABGi has one of the largest networks of experts specializing in tax credit optimization with a growing presence in 10 countries including the UK France Canada and Brazil to offer tax credits grants and subsidies in all industries. The position

As a Senior SR&ED Tax Credit Consultant with sciencebased clients at ABGi Canada you will bring strong technical skills to a team of other STEM individuals and work in a collaborative team environment to identify and substantiate R&D tax credit claims for clients across Canada. This position will specialize in working with clients in the IT and STEM sectors. ABGi Canada has worked with hundreds of clients in the architecture engineering software biomedical sciences oil & gas manufacturing apparel brewing aerospace and agriculture sectors.


A day as a Consultant

Through interactions with customers and ABGI Conseil Mission Management you will identify activities eligible for the SR&ED tax credit and develop the claim structure.
Identify expenditures related to these activities that are eligible for the SR&ED tax credit and/or government grants and subsidies.
Prepare SR&ED or grants and subsidies claims to be submitted to the tax authorities in collaboration with the client and under the supervision of the ABGI Conseil project manager.
Document claims using relevant forms and technical reports to support the work.
Assist clients in the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audit process.
Participate in international collaborations with other group subsidiaries (USA UK France Brazil).


Your background


Masters degree or higher in engineering computer science electronics or a related field from an accredited university.
At least one to five years experience as an SR&ED consultant in a professional services organization.
Knowledge of the SR&ED program and other government incentives.
Ability to understand technological issues and articulate them clearly to enhance the value of SR&EDeligible items.
Previous professional experience in computer science gaming electrical engineering electronics or mechanical engineering.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in French and English
Ability to conduct technical discussions with specialists in several technological fields.
Excellent project management skills.
