The Operations Team Lead will perform the functions outlined below:
Process life cycle events including fundings and distributions ensuring compliance with investment agreements (waterfall fees) tax requirements and investor controls
Capture investment transaction data and prepare request for cash movement between entities
Setup new illiquid investment/structure including entering deal attributes and positions in system(s) or coordinating details with administrators
Setup and maintain core system golden source data including investment structure deal attributes and positions in security master
Proactively manage cash activity for each investment relationship including new bank account setup and ongoing account oversight
Coordinate with internal and external teams to finance illiquid investments and support those financing facilities by preparing and/or reviewing repo confirmations processing life cycle events and maintaining reporting for Capital Markets team
Support oversight of key operational partners such as Loan Servicers Asset Managers and ThirdParty Administrators
Assist with the coordination and preparation of all periodic and ad hoc illiquid investment reporting
Participate actively in project related activities including analyzing results of reconciliations of test data to production data and other functional testing required for system enhancements
Field ad hoc requests as necessary
Team Lead Tasks Duties:
Establish and execute the processes and procedures
Establish and manage the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monitor and evaluate all processes and implement improvement to ensure clients receive appropriate and highquality services as committed
Perform daily and monthly auditing of work processes
Monitor and assist team members in the daily operation aspects of the project including reviewing the status and performance against targets performing root cause analysis of variances and making improvements to meet the targets
Coach guide and train team members by providing excellent service
Provide assistance to team members in accordance with established practices and procedures
Provide reports as agreed with the client
Assist in hiring selection and training of new team members.
Operations Team Lead
College degree in Finance Accounting or related field of study
2 years of Supervisory experience
35 years of of work experience within financial services preferably with exposure to deal closing / operations / middle office / accounting functions
Knowledgeable about financial products and terms: Equities Bonds Loans CDS FX
Microsoft Office: Word and Excel are a must required
Experience in Geneva and Black Mountain Systems is preferred
Strong math and analytical skills required with attention to detail
Personal characteristics of selfconfidence resourcefulness selfmotivation and discipline
Excellent communication skills comfortable working with crossfunctional teams
