Sr Linux Systems Administrator

1. RHEL Administration: Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers including installation configuration patching troubleshooting and performance tuning.
2. Automation: Design develop and implement automated solutions using Ansible for configuration management deployment and orchestration of infrastructure components.
3. Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts in Python and Bash to automate routine tasks system monitoring and administrative functions.
4. ServiceNow Integration: Integrate Linux systems with ServiceNow for incident management change management and asset management processes.
5. System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance analyze resource utilization and implement optimizations to ensure high availability scalability and efficiency of Linuxbased systems.
6. Security: Implement and maintain security best practices including user access controls firewall configuration intrusion detection/prevention and vulnerability management.
7. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup strategies perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
8. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides. Generate regular reports on system performance capacity and security posture.
9. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support application deployments troubleshoot issues and provide technical assistance and guidance to stakeholders.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for task automation and system administration.
• Experience with ServiceNow for incident management change management and asset management processes.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts protocols and security best practices.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware KVM) and containerization (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios Zabbix Prometheus) and logging solutions (e.g. ELK Stack) preferred.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or equivalent are a plus.
