Accountant

Job Description:As an Accountant you will play a vital role in managing the companys financial records preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will work closely with other members of the finance team to support the companys financial objectives and contribute to its overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial records including general ledger entries account reconciliations and financial statements.
• Perform monthend and yearend close processes including journal entries accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial reports to support decisionmaking and strategic planning.
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and answering inquiries.
• Collaborate with other departments such as finance operations and management to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Finance Manager or Controller.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software/systems (e.g. QuickBooks SAP) and MS Office especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
• Experience in manufacturing/retail/technology/healthcare industry (depending on your companys sector) is a plus.
