Were on the lookout for a seasoned Project Manager specializing in Building Science and Sustainability to join our dynamic team in Ontarios Southwest region. Based in one of our offices in Kitchener Hamilton or London youll play a pivotal role in leading building science investigations crafting effective remediation strategies conducting onsite inspections and delivering detailed reports. Additionally youll provide asset management services like property condition assessments for real estate transactions capital planning reserve fund studies and due diligence assessments for our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage building science projects from initiation to completion ensuring ontime delivery budget compliance and exceeding client expectations.
- Conduct thorough onsite inspections to evaluate building envelope conditions identify issues and devise appropriate remediation strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports articulating findings assessments and recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams leveraging expertise in building science engineering and real estate for integrated client solutions.
- Provide asset management services including property assessments reserve fund studies and due diligence assessments.
- Cultivate strong client relationships understanding their needs and tailoring solutions to align with their objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends regulations and best practices in building science and real estate transactions.
- Demonstrate leadership by effectively guiding project teams fostering communication and teamwork.
- Address complex building science challenges with technical proficiency and innovative problemsolving.
Requirements
- Minimum of a 3year Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology diploma preferred certification by OACETT or AATO.
- 5 years of experience in construction administration of major capital projects; Project & Construction Management/Administration certifications are advantageous.
- Proficiency in relevant codes acts and construction documentation.
- Extensive contract administration experience and familiarity with construction methodologies equipment and technologies.
- Technical expertise in sustainable practices LEED certification and Net Zero building.
- Strong interpersonal negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in computer software including Excel Word project management platforms GIS SharePoint SAP and AutoCAD.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver s License and reliable vehicle for business use.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed and a commitment to continuous professional development
