Our client who provides traffic system management services requires an experienced Human Resource Manager Generalist to join their team. Reporting to the Managing Director (MD) you will be primarily responsible for overseeing various human resources functions. These include HR strategies recruitment performance reviews compliance training and development and administration of employee benefits and compensation packages.
Responsibilities;
- Support Executive Management to develop organizational goals and strategies.
- Support the Executive Management in the daily and strategic management planning to meet the contractual technical and commercial goals set.
- Liaise with Executive Management to ensure effective internal communication process manage the relationship with staff and counsel line management especially in discipline matters to promote harmonious industrial and employee relations.
- Liaise with the HSSE Department concerning staff health issues and the general welfare of staff per all agreed documents.
- Liaise with the company s solicitors to provide legal advice on corporate issues.
- Spearhead both the internal and external communications of the company.
- Lead communication of company policies through the development of employee handbook HR Manuals and other media.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding of talent engaging HR best practices and applicable employment laws employing modern trends to position the company as an employer of choice.
- Establish an effective HR department to provide the company with a full spectrum of operational and strategic HR functions.
- Research and implement strategies to create and promote a culture of engagement continuous improvement in productivity and quality of service to customers.
- Recommend develop and implement policies and procedures to guide manpower planning staff recruitment and selection performance appraisal training and development to ensure appropriate staffing and optimum human resource utilisation.
- Develop and implement HR policies procedures systems and structures that promote equal opportunity trust and confidence among staff and enable line management to manage and motivate staff and be the custodian of such policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement a succession plan in consultation with executive management and line managers for effective and efficient manpower management.
- Develop and implement a robust staff performance appraisal tool to manage performance and establish a highperformance culture.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training and development programme to ensure continuous development and growth of all categories of staff.
- Establish and maintain efficient records management and HR information systems.
- Evaluate and maintain corporate mission vision values and company culture.
- Manage all processes relating to compensation and benefits administration.
- Conduct compensation surveys and make recommendations to ensure that the company s rates of pay and benefits are competitive to attract retain and motivate staff to perform at the highest possible level.
- Prepare and control departmental budget within approved limits to enable the company to achieve its financial targets.
- Ensure effective contract administration and management especially for new hires in compliance with the Ghanaian Labour Laws.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor s degree in Business Administration Human Resource Management or any related field.
- Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of working experience in the same or similar role.
- Must have a proficient knowledge of HR functions and its best practices.
- Must be comfortable working in a fastpaced environment.
- Must be accessible reliable and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Understanding of local labour law and local policies regulations and market practices.
- Ability to pay attention to details and multitask.
- Ability to identify and recommend new approaches to improve business objectives productivity and culture.
