Dashboard Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineering Specialist youll be at the forefront of problemsolving and solution design. Your key tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive problem diagnosis and crafting effective solution designs.
  

• Collaborating closely with End Users Software Data and DevOps Engineers as well as Data Scientists.
  

• Executing engineering activities from requirements analysis to deployment and system assessment.
  

• Configuring Kibana visualizations in the system GUI and utilizing KQL.
  

• Applying systems engineering approaches throughout planning design execution and sustainment phases.
  

• Assisting in defining technical processes and specifications for platforms and systems.
  

• Contributing to the development and upkeep of systems engineering documentation and diagrams using SE tools.
  

• Regularly reporting technical progress to assigned leads.
  

• Estimating project timelines and resource needs accurately.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with at least 4 years of professional experience (or 2 years with a Master s degree).
  

• Proficiency in designing developing and delivering datadriven operational capabilities.
  

• Minimum 3 years of experience in systems engineering.
  

• Familiarity with SQL or KQL.
  

• Active DoD Secret clearance and Security certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
  

• Experience in softwarebased operational system development and formal DoD requirements development.
  

• Strong skills in requirements traceability writing software systems engineering documents and developing software interface documents.
  

• Ability to develop detailed plans/schedules and track project dependencies risks and mitigations.
  

• Knowledge of web services such as API and REST.
  

• Experience estimating the level of effort for project tasks and updating project schedules accordingly.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in data visualization tools and dashboards especially Elastic/Kibana.
  

• Knowledge of network data and big data applications.
  

• Familiarity with cloudbased AWS services.
  

• Experience creating DoDAF artifacts and using collaboration tools like JIRA Git repo and Confluence.
  

• Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps principles.
