Strategic Buyer for Indirect Materials and CapEx in the Automotive Industry.

Our client isa German automotive supplier and was founded in Sarajevo in 2021. The groups products include transmission engine & brake components which are installed at customers such as VW Audi Continental and BMW. Worldwide the group has over 400 employees.

As a Strategic Buyer for Indirect Materials and Capital Expenditures (CapEx) in the automotive industry you will be responsible for procuring nonproductionrelated goods and services critical for operations and capital projects. Your role will involve strategic sourcing supplier management and cost optimization to support the organizations objectives effectively.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect materials and CapEx items to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Identify and qualify suppliers based on quality reliability cost and innovation.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions in accordance with internal stakeholders and customer demands.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers on innovation value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
• Address supplier performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Cost Management and Optimization:

• Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
• Implement costsaving strategies through supplier negotiations competitive bidding and process improvements.
• Monitor and control expenditures within budgetary constraints.

Capital Expenditure Procurement:

• Manage the procurement process for capital expenditures including equipment machinery and facility upgrades.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure timely delivery and installation of capital assets while adhering to project timelines and budget.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation:

• Ensure compliance with company policies industry regulations and ethical standards in procurement activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions quality issues and regulatory changes.
• Implement strategies to enhance supply chain resilience and continuity.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business administration supply chain management engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing procurement or supplier management preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Strong negotiation analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Proficiency in procurement tools and systems as well as data analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
• Language skill requirements: English German
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
