Job Description
MustHave
- Basic knowledge of operating systems and systems administration concepts
- Experience with IBM z/OS DFSMS IBM DS8000 DASD IBM TS77xx and VTS is required
- CA Vantage Storage Resource Manager GDPS or REXX experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and technologies as well as a personal commitment to stay current with latest technology concepts
- Good problemsolving analytical and critical thinking skills
- Identifies and resolves less clearly defined problems using established procedures and/or protocols as guidelines
GoodtoHave
- Completes backup and recovery data migration storage allocation connectivity and storage reporting requests.
- Creates removes and expands file systems and volumes.
- Provides SAN switch director monitoring configuration and support.
- Works with senior peers to develop change management procedures.
- Creates and maintains documentation.
- Creates investment proposals and presents concepts during team meetings.
- Provides assistance with system solution design.
- May require rotating 24x7 oncall support responsibility as well as weekend support
